Who We Are

Who We Are

Welcome to Little Yoddha Steps, where movement meets resilience. We’re Dawid and Conny, parents to Sophia, the little warrior who inspired this journey. Our story isn’t just about products—it’s about overcoming challenges, trusting the process, and helping little ones build confidence through movement.

Why We Started Little Yoddha Steps

Sophia’s arrival into this world wasn’t easy. She was born via emergency C-section in a frank breech position—a rapid birth after we had previously lost our son, Nataniel, to a late miscarriage at 20 weeks. It was hard to embrace the pregnancy without fear, but we were grateful when she arrived healthy. Then, we were met with another challenge: she was born with both knees dislocated.

We were told this was rare—1 in 100,000 rare. Her early days were filled with hospital visits, weekly trips to Dublin Children’s Hospital, and the unknown. She spent her first three months in casts, and when those were removed, she had to wear shin splints. We wondered if she would struggle to move, if she would walk late, if she would face obstacles we weren’t yet aware of.

But Sophia found her own way. Crawling didn’t feel natural to her, so she scooted and hopped—an invention that made us laugh but also made us worry. To encourage her, we introduced a playset designed for climbing and movement. At first, she was hesitant. Then, something clicked.

At 16 months, she took her first confident steps. And now, at 17 months, she’s unstoppable. Walking changed everything—her confidence, her personality, her curiosity about the world. Science supports what we saw firsthand: walking isn’t just about movement, it’s about brain development, problem-solving, and independence.

What Little Yoddha Steps Stands For

This experience shaped us in ways we never expected. We know the fears, the questions, the late-night research sessions, the unspoken worries that sit in the back of your mind. We also know the joy of watching a child overcome their obstacles—no matter how big or small.

That’s why we created Little Yoddha Steps. We wanted to bring movement-focused play to kids like Sophia, and to parents like us, who just want to help their little ones thrive.

The name reflects this journey. "Yoddha" means warrior in Sanskrit—a tribute to every child who pushes through challenges. "Steps" represents those first moments of movement, from rolling over to standing tall. Every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.

Our Mission

As mindfulness practitioners and educators, we believe movement is more than just physical development—it’s the foundation for confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.

  • Dawid’s background as a mindfulness-based cognitive therapist and martial arts instructor for children has deepened his understanding of how movement shapes self-belief.
  • Conny is a holistic lifestyle and nutrition coach, yoga, and meditation teacher, focusing on balance—both physically and mentally.

We carefully select playpens, playsets, and baby mats from trusted suppliers, primarily from Poland, including the renowned MeowBaby. These products align with our mission to create safe, inspiring spaces where children can move freely and build confidence at their own pace.

Why We Keep Some Things Private

Through it all, we’ve captured thousands of photos and videos—precious moments we hold close. But we’ve made a conscious decision not to share them publicly. Sophia, like every child, deserves the right to decide how much of her childhood is out in the world. Instead, we share something just as meaningful—the tiny shin splints she once wore, a small but powerful symbol of her journey.

At Little Yoddha Steps, we celebrate every milestone, no matter how small. Because every step forward is a step toward confidence, strength, and independence.
